DFT(Direct Forming Technology)

DFT (Direct forming technology) is an innovative route designed to produce tubes in different sizes. This technology sizably reduces the time of producing customized hollow section by including it into mill range without changing the roll. This technology opens a new era in steel tube production. Being a completely automatic and computerized process, DFT saves the setup time, makes operation setting accurate, easy and efficient.

Motor adjustment direct to square pipe production line is equipped with HF welding machine for producing square/rectangular and profile pipes. The raw material used in this production line is steel strip after slitting. The strip enters into the accumulator after uncoiling, straightening machine, leveling machine, and shear welding machine then formed the desired shape and size of end products after HF welding, outside, scarfing, cooling, sizing, and flying saw and length saw. And at last transported to the packing table through run out into finished products.

It adopts internationally advanced forming technology and motor adjustment method, and is the third generation product of China’s direct square tube production line. The mill adopts motor adjustment, and when producing products of different specifications with one set of rollers, there is no need to change the rollers. Only motor adjustment is needed, greatly saving the time for changing the rollers and reducing the labor intensity of workers. Different specifications of products changing takes about 0.5 hours.

The whole mill adopts PLC control system. The forming and sizing rollers are motor adjustment driven by Siemens servo motor and PLC control , easy to operate and maintain.

ADVANTAGE:

The direct forming process is used to produce precise series parts from high temperature plastics. High-speed vertical automatic presses (mechanical or hydraulic) compress the powder in the mound cavity.

Direct formed parts show less distortion and avoid weld lines. In particular, direct formed parts are mainly used for applications which experience high loads at elevated temperatures in demanding applications at high speed and pressure even without any lubrication.

It adopts the multipoint bending combined type forming technology, which consists of forming and sizing section. All sizes need only one set of rolls. While manufacturing, the roll could be adjusted partly.
